“She has a quiet confidence that screams loud. She is humble, but strong. She is stable, but rebellious. She is giving, but not naive. She chooses her battles wisely. She’ll stay silent until it’s time to fight…and when that time comes; FIGHT, she does.”

I would sit here and say I’m just an ordinary person but that’s not really true

none of us are truly ordinary…we all bring something to the table and what I like most about me is that I believe that whatever someone has to offer – I will find it and make sure they use it; and I had to start doing that for myself first.

I would definitely say I grew up ordinary; midwest, middle class family, small town school, simple life.  But I did have big dreams…and I was willing to work for them.  I went on to earn an engineering degree and I spent the next 10 years grinding away…moving (a lot) and always putting my work first.  Somewhere in that time I got married, had two beautiful children and then I started to put all the things first.  Around year 11 of being out of college I looked around at this exhausted, crabby, flabby mess.  I loved myself, my family and my job but I couldn’t get my shit together physically…and so I did something different.  After starting my program I lost 4lbs in week 1…I went on to lose 10lbs in 7 weeks and 20lbs total.  I went from a size 10/12 to a size 4, a size that I thought was reserved for only the girls blessed by metabolism Gods.  I learned to love myself in a totally different way.  Somewhere in that span of time I took another job move but I never let go of, or lost love for working on my fitness journey.  Very early in that journey I decided that I was in this for the long run, so I became a coach for the discount.  Then I realized I was telling everyone I knew how much I was loving my results and so I became a coach for money.  At one point, I received a note from a friend that I had inspired her in ways I would never know and that because she joined one of my challenge groups she was able to achieve results she never thought possible.  As time went on I received more of these from weight loss challengers and as I signed up coaches I started receiving them from friends who were able to give their kids a better birthday party because of the income, or afford a sitter for an hour to get a haircut, or pay off a credit card.  Then I realized I was in it for the long haul, because I owed the universe one back.

I love my family, my full time job, my coaching job and myself.  I want all of those things for you.  I will guide you, challenge you, support you or just be there when you need me, but I won’t quit on you if you won’t quit on me.
