Food is life, food is fuel and food is energy. There is no harm in enjoying food that tastes good and there is no reason to deprive yourself of certain food groups. However, it is critical to maintain a proper balance of healthy proteins, carbs and fats and in the right portions. There is too much hype about the evils of carbs when all we need to do is choose healthier carbs. This will lead to a more focused and energized workout followed by protein to repair muscles and a multitude of fibrous fruits and vegetables to aid fullness and digestion.
